ACS TP - control and automation of TP
The concept of automation of control implies the replacement of the physical and mental labor of a person spent on controlling a technical device.
The objectives of automation are to ensure high production efficiency and operational safety through automatic control of key equipment parameters and hazardous factors (gas, lack of ventilation), and to prevent hazardous operating conditions of equipment and personnel.
There are two methods of automating enterprise management:
1) Separate - separation of the entire set of enterprise management problems into separate, independent tasks
2) Systemic - consists of automating the management system of the entire enterprise, i.e. management based on the principle of a systems approach.
When using the first method, automation of management for individual tasks does not require a profound change in the structures in the enterprise management system.
Each task is solved by one team of developers who specialize in tasks (or one task) of this type. There is no need to link numerous management tasks into a single system. With this approach, it is possible to estimate the costs of the task being developed (machine time costs), and accurately determine the costs of its solution. The use of separate does not allow for a systemic solution to the problem of automation of enterprise management as a single technological, organizational and economic mechanism, and this is the main disadvantage of the method.

The main disadvantage of the separate method is the difficulty of combining the individual tasks worked out and ensuring mutual
exchange and coordination during their operation. Difficulties arise when expanding tasks that function in isolation from each other. In most cases, we are talking about a new solution to an already calculated task. Another disadvantage of this method is the weak influence of automation on improving the enterprise management structure. Automation of enterprise management usually involves modernization of the management structure itself and is accompanied by its significant restructuring. These opportunities are practically not realized in this case.
The use of a separate method does not allow for a systematic solution to the problem of automating enterprise management as a single technological, organizational and economic mechanism, and this is the main disadvantage of the method.
The system method consists of automating the enterprise management system, i.e. management based on the principle of a system approach. Data flows of all types used in management form a complex information system. In this method, the compatibility of information subsystems plays a leading role, which is achieved by creating common arrays of information and ensuring the exchange of information between different subsystems.
Disadvantages of the method: labor intensity and duration of the creation of the automated control system, the need to change the existing structure of enterprise management even if the existing structure is sufficiently effective; high cost of the automated control system and difficulty in accurately determining the economic effect.
It is possible to create a process control system based on several ARP-1C analyzers installed in the flow and a control computer receiving data from the ARP-1C analyzers and other equipment agreed upon by protocols. Data and control signals are transmitted to the enterprise's automated process control system to the equipment involved in the system.
Application of automated process control system for ore enrichment integrated with the ARP-1C analyzer system:
- Sorting of ore.
- Operational dosing of components of ore mixtures (charge).
- Dosing of expensive flotation reagents.
Benefits from the implementation of automated process control systems.
The development of an automated process control system provides enterprises with the following advantages:
- optimal utilization of production equipment capacities;
- acceleration of production processes, improvement of management efficiency;
- saving raw materials;
- savings on labor costs of low-skilled workers;
- safety and minimal human factor influence;
- increasing the volume and quality of manufactured products;
- creation and maintenance of a comfortable microclimate in production facilities.
Thanks to competent design of the automated process control system, the collection, processing and storage of significant information about the technical parameters of all automation objects is ensured.
The goal of management is to achieve the optimal value of the criterion of economic efficiency of the functioning of an enterprise, association, or industry.
