Meeting with representatives of Norilsk Nickel
Our company was visited by colleagues from Norilsk Nickel’s Norilsk division.
The Norilsk Division is a key production asset of Norilsk Nickel. It includes a full cycle of metal production-from ore extraction to shipment of finished products. The assets are located in Russia on the Taimyr Peninsula, in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The Norilsk Division develops the largest deposits in Norilsk Nickel’s portfolio.
The main interest of Norilsk Nickel representatives was the APR-2C in-line X-ray spectral analyzer. The focus of our colleagues ‘ attention was the mechanics of using the device and its control software and hardware in real-world production.
During the discussion, the following issues were considered:
- Operating principle of the device, technical characteristics.
- Analyzer composition and scope of delivery.
- Experience in implementing and supplying equipment to customers in Russia and the CIS.
- Production time, import substitution.
- Possibility of carrying out mineral processing.
- Advantages of the analyzer.
- Software — APM Operator Analyzer, an analytical program for calibrating the RFA analyzer.
- Installation location requirement and calibration of the analyzer.
The meeting was conducted by the General Director of Technoanalitpribor, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Arseniy Vladimirovich Trushin.
As a result of the meeting, we agreed to solve the following tasks:
- Analyze the content of S (sulfur) in the pulp.
- Analyze tailings for Ni (nickel) and Cu (copper) content.
The parties also agreed to work out the issue of organizing mineral processing at the production site of PJSC Norilsk Nickel.
